19 AI Tools for Content Creation: Text, Graphics, Video, Etc.

I’ve been using AI in my content creation workflows for a while now.
And while it speeds things up, it helps with more than that. I use it to think better, structure better, and waste less time on a blank page.
That said, I don’t believe in handing over your entire content creation workflow to a robot.
The best content still starts with real human insights and ideas, whether that’s your own expertise or that of subject matter experts (SMEs) on your team, in your client’s org, or elsewhere.
This list isn’t just a roundup of shiny tools.
It’s a breakdown of the kinds of AI tools pro marketers are using to write, research, outline, repurpose, and publish content faster, without sacrificing quality.
Some of these I’ve used myself. Some I haven’t. But I’ll give you my perspective on each one — based on over a decade of content marketing experience — and why they might (or might not) be worth adding to your stack.
Let’s dive in.

AI Content Writing Tools
There are tons of AI content writing tools out there. But my rule of thumb is to start with real insights, either from me, my team, or other subject matter experts.
I don’t just hit "generate" and publish. I use AI to speed things up, organize my thoughts, or rewrite specific sections, but not to skip the thinking part.
These are a few AI writing tools I’ve personally used or seen pro marketers recommend. Some work better when paired with strong inputs; others are built for volume.
1. Leaps

What you might really like about Leaps is that everything starts from interviews with subject matter experts (i.e., your executives, founders, team members, customers, etc.)
This approach ensures that content is deeply rooted in genuine expertise and experiences rather than generic AI-generated text.
Before building Leaps, I ran a content marketing agency where we regularly interviewed teams and their experts, turning their insights into compelling content that builds brands, drives demand, and generates leads.
Now all that process has been baked into Leaps.
It simplifies capturing expert knowledge (from you or your team) directly and uses AI to transform it into social media posts for LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platforms, as well as SEO-optimized content outlines and briefs, newsletters, and more.
And unlike many other AI tools out there, it’s not making up stuff for you. It’s writing with the expert’s voice, words, and tone, so it sounds just like them, not like a generic “AI human.”
Key features in Leaps
- Journalist-style interviews to capture expert insights.
- Voice-to-text options for experts to respond (and no signups required for them).
- Expert-led content outlines, carousels, social posts, and newsletters
- Automated email reminders to keep you (or your experts) committed to sharing expertise
- Schedule expert POV-style LinkedIn content for weeks, driving opportunities on autopilot
- A simple workflow that connects expert insight capture, writing, and posting

2. Jasper

I’ve used Jasper quite a bit, and it’s a solid tool focused on producing a wide range of content types.
What I like about Jasper is its autocomplete feature. You can start writing, and Jasper will complete your thoughts in the context you’re writing from. And this speeds up the writing process and feels intuitive.
Jasper’s “Boss Mode” is another highlight; it provides even more control and power over your content creation and integrates seamlessly with SEO tools like Surfer SEO. It’s often a good choice for marketers who want to create SEO-optimized long-form content efficiently.
Key features in Jasper
- Autocomplete AI that extends your writing based on your input.
- “Boss Mode” with advanced commands for long-form content.
- “SEO Mode” with real-time optimization via Surfer SEO integration.
- Extensive template library for different content types.
- Collaboration features and brand voice memory.
Jasper pricing
- Pro – $69/seat/month
- Business – Custom pricing
Free Plan?

3. Copy.ai

I’ve tried Copy.ai as well, though not as extensively as Jasper.
Copy.ai offers many of the same core features: generating marketing copy, blog intros, social media content, and more.
What stands out to me is their chat feature, which lets you brainstorm and have back-and-forth conversations with the AI. This interaction helps you get unstuck and explore ideas dynamically.
Another useful feature is their workflow builder, which allows you to create multi-step content creation processes that can save time and improve consistency across your projects.
Key features in Copy.ai
- AI chat for brainstorming and interactive idea generation.
- Workflow builder to automate sequences of content creation steps.
- Wide variety of templates for marketing, blogs, emails, and more.
- Multi-language support and brand voice personalization.

- Starter: $49/month
- Advanced: $249/month
- Enterprise: Custom pricing

AI Content Outlines & Briefs
I’ve written a lot of content briefs — for myself, for freelancers, and back when I ran a content agency. I’ve also received plenty of them when I was freelancing full-time.
So I’ve seen both sides: how a good brief sets up great content… and how a vague one leads to rewrites.
This section is all about tools that help you generate outlines and briefs quickly, either from keywords or real expert input. I’ll share what I like (or don’t) about each one.
4. Leaps Expert‑Led Outline Creator

Most content starts with a prompt. Leaps content outline creator starts with capturing real, detailed expert insight — from you or the people inside your team who know the subject best.
The tool interviews you (or your team) with a trained, customizable AI journalist and turns your insights/answers into clear, detailed content outlines, optimized for humans, AI, and search engines, ready to go.
It’s built by and for marketers who want subject matter expertise baked into every piece — and want to cut briefing time by 80%.
Key features in Leaps
- Interview‑first briefs: Capture expert answers via voice or text and auto‑transform into outlines.
- Automated reminders: Email nudges keep SMEs on track without manual follow‑up.
- Multi‑format outputs: Generate not just outlines, but also social posts, carousels, etc.
- Integrated workflow: Seamlessly moves from insight capture → outline → other assets.
Pricing:
- Basic: $49 / month (up to 5 outlines)
- Pro: $99 / month (up to 15 outlines)
- Premium: $149/month (up to 30 outlines)
- Custom: custom number of outlines available
Free plan?
No free plan, but Leaps offers a 14-day free trial.
5. Content Harmony

Content Harmony is one of the most purpose-built tools for SEO‑led content briefs.
Agencies, publishers, and in-house teams use it to research and structure content quickly - without sacrificing depth.
I haven’t used it before, but I especially like that it pulls in SERP data, competitor outlines, keyword suggestions, and common audience questions from platforms like Reddit and Quora.
Then it organizes them into a customizable brief you can share with your writers. Their block‑based brief editor makes it easy to include checklists, reference notes, image inspiration, and more.
It’s a time‑saver that still delivers editorial quality.
Key features in Content Harmony
- SERP and competitor insights: Pulls in top‑ranking headers, related keywords, and competitor outlines.
- Customizable block editor: Drag‑and‑drop checklists, tables, images, and notes to flesh out briefs.
- Collaborative workflow: Assign briefs, comment inline, and export directly to Google Docs.
- Audience question discovery: Integrates common queries from Reddit, Quora, and “People Also Ask.”
Content Harmony pricing
- $50 / month for 5 workflow credits (credits roll over for 90 days)
- $99 / month for 12 workflow credits (credits roll over for 90 days)
- Higher tiers (25, 50 & 100 workflows/month) available with custom pricing
Free plan?
No free forever plan, but there is a $10 paid trial that gives you 10 workflow credits with no automatic billing.
6. MarketMuse

MarketMuse takes a strategy‑first approach to content briefs.
It’s built not just to help you outline individual content pieces, but to guide an entire topic or cluster strategy.
Personally, I like that you can choose your content type — how‑to, comparison, listicle, FAQ, etc. — and MarketMuse generates a research‑packed outline based on its content intelligence platform.
And that’s especially useful for scaling SEO and content ops across a large site. Think: multiple contributors, lots of existing content, and a need to prioritize what to update or write next.
Key features in MarketMuse
- Create vs. Optimize briefs: Choose “Create” for new content (FAQ, listicle, guide, etc.) or “Optimize” to update existing pages.
- Subtype selection: For Create briefs, pick types like Comparison, How‑To, Roundup, FAQ Collection, Review, News/Event, Local, Universal.
- Topic modeling: Builds briefs from related topics and questions mined across the web.
- Cluster strategy docs: Plan topic clusters, then generate individual briefs that align with your content ecosystem.
MarketMuse pricing
- Note: MarketMuse lists features per tier but not public prices. You need to click “Get started” on their pricing page for exact rates via their signup or sales team.
Free plan?
Yes, MarketMuse has a free plan.
AI Content Research Tools
Most of my content research starts with Google — still undefeated.
But over time, I’ve used tools like Perplexity and, of course, Leaps, especially when I need to pull expert insights quickly.
This category includes AI tools that help you research topics, find trends, or extract insights — whether that’s from the internet or your internal experts.
7. LinkedIn + Leaps Expert Insights Collector

When I need original expert insights, I start on LinkedIn. I look for subject matter experts on the topic I want to create content around, then ask if they’d like to be featured.
If they say yes, I send them a few targeted questions, and that’s where Leaps comes in.
Leaps acts like an AI journalist. It doesn’t just help you come up with smart questions — it also sends them directly to your experts, with context and a deadline. It handles follow-ups automatically too, reminding your experts to respond and nudging you to finish projects you’ve started. Check out Leaps expert insights collector here.
Whether you’re working with execs, external experts, internal team members, or even just capturing your own knowledge, Leaps helps you stay consistent and get the insights you need to publish.
Key features in Leaps Expert Insights Collector
- Trained AI journalist interviews: Generate personalized interview questions based on your topic, audience, and the expert’s background.
- Automated reminder: Leaps delivers the questions for you and follows up until you get the insights back.
- Expert insights to content: Converts answers into useful content – that is, content outlines, social content, newsletters, carousels, and quotes.
- AI journalist interviews: Capture your own experience by having the AI journalist interview you and dig into your experience on any topic
Pricing
- Basic: $49 / month (up to 5 projects)
- Pro: $99 / month (up to 15 projects)
- Premium: $149/month (up to 30 projects)
- Custom: custom number of projects available
Free plan?
No free plan, but Leaps offers a 14-day free trial.
8. Perplexity.ai

Perplexity is like a researcher you don’t have to book a call with.
It’s not just a “smarter search engine,” it actually helps you explore ideas, unfamiliar topics, or niche trends in a way that feels surprisingly natural.
One thing I especially like is that it’s multimodal — so you can drop in a PDF or paste a link, and it’ll work with that context when answering your questions. That means you’re not starting from a blank slate, which is huge when you’re trying to ramp up fast.
Key features in Perplexity:
- Concise & deep answers: Get instant summaries for quick facts or “deep research” reports for more context.
- Source transparency: Every answer cites its web sources directly.
- Multi‑modal queries: Ask follow‑up questions and chain queries for nuanced exploration.
- Team collaboration: Pro and Enterprise plans include shared “Spaces” for collective research.

- Enterprise Pro ($40/mo per user): Same as Pro + team management and admin tools.
- Max ($200/mo): All Pro features + newest models and early-access tools.
Free plan?
Yes. Perplexity gives unlimited basic searches plus limited Pro and Deep Research queries per day.
9. AlsoAsked

If you ever feel like Google is hiding all the good questions, AlsoAsked brings them back to the surface.
It taps into the People Also Ask data and builds visual maps of the kinds of questions your audience is already typing into search. The real goldmine is questions you might not even think to search for — but your readers definitely are.
I mostly use it to uncover ideas for FAQ sections in articles, but honestly, it's helpful whenever I want to go beyond the surface-level keyword game.
Key features in AlsoAsked:
- Live PAA data: Fetches and maps real-time “People Also Ask” questions for any keyword.
- Intent flow visualization: See how users’ questions branch and evolve — ideal for topic clustering.
- Bulk & API access (paid): Upload CSVs for large‑scale research or integrate via API.
- Language & region support: Customize searches by locale to match your audience.
AlsoAsked pricing
- Basic: $12/month — 100 credits; 24‑hour history
- Lite: $23/month — 300 credits; 1‑month history; CSV export
- Pro: $47/month — 1000 credits; 1-year history, bulk searches, API access etc.
Free plan?
Yes. AlsoAsked gives limited free credits with access to core features.
10. BuzzSumo

BuzzSumo has been around for a while, and it still earns its place in my toolbox, although I don’t use it super frequently.
What I love most is how it helps me spot topics that are already resonating online.
You pop in a keyword, and boom, you get a list of the top-performing articles, complete with social shares, backlinks, and engagement data.
That means you're not guessing what might work, you're working off of what already is. For content marketers trying to ride the wave instead of swimming upstream, it’s a smart bet.
Key features in Buzzsumo
- Content analyzer: Search by keyword, URL, or domain to see engagement metrics and viral content.
- Trending feeds: Real‑time tracking of emerging topics in your niche.
- View backlink data and influencer shares: Find and identify the most influential people or sites sharing specific content

- Suite: $499 / month — 10 users, unlimited searches, 10 alerts
- Enterprise: $999 / month — 30 users, unlimited searches, 50 alerts
Free plan?
No free forever plan, but Buzzsumo offers a 7-day free trial.
AI Social Media Content Tools
Social media content is a whole different beast.
Fast-moving, personality-driven, and way more demanding than people realize.
I’ve mostly used tools ChatGPT and Leaps, but I’ll also be sharing others here for writing quick posts across LinkedIn, Twitter (X), and Substacks.
This section includes AI tools that help you ideate, write, and schedule social content faster — especially useful if you’re juggling multiple channels.
11. Leaps AI Social Media Content Writer

When I’m stocking my LinkedIn queue, Leaps is my secret weapon.
With the interview feature, it digs into your own expertise or your other experts’ insights via text or voice, then automatically generates and sends tailored questions to experts (or yourself if you’re the expert), follows up with reminders, and captures their responses in one place.
Whether you’re doing your own thing or a head of content, a PR manager, a personal branding consultant, or a ghostwriter, Leaps handles the legwork — so you can spin those expert insights into LinkedIn posts, tweets, Instagram carousels, Substack notes, newsletters, and more.
Over time, it learns each expert’s voice, lets you save custom writing styles, and even schedules posts directly to LinkedIn on your (or your experts’) behalf.
Key features:
- AI journalist interviews: Thorough voice-or-text Q&A flows that uncover deep insights.
- Automated delivery & reminders: Leaps sends questions, nudges experts (and you) until responses arrive.
- Voice analysis & writing style memory: Learns each expert’s tone and lets you save custom writing styles for reuse.
- Multi-format outputs: Generate LinkedIn posts, Instagram captions, tweets, carousels, Substack drafts, and newsletters — all in the expert’s voice.
- Built-in scheduler: Plan and queue posts directly to LinkedIn (yours or your experts’) without leaving the app.
Pricing
- Basic: $49/month (5 projects, including social posts, carousels, and outlines)
- Pro: $99/month (15 projects)
- Premium: $149/month (30 projects)
- Custom: Custom number of projects available

13. Hootsuite

Hootsuite is an industry staple for teams that need both powerful publishing and robust engagement tools in one place. And it’s especially perfect for enterprise-level companies and teams.
I haven’t used them before, but like with Buffer, I like Hootsuite’s Unified Social Media Inbox to handle comments and DMs across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and even WhatsApp — no more hopping between apps.
Then there’s also their built-in OwlyGPT AI assistant that generates image suggestions and captions based on live social trends.

- Enterprise: Custom pricing
Free plan?
Yes, Hootsuite offers a free plan with limited features —1 user, 2 social accounts, and up to 5 scheduled posts.
AI Visual Content & Graphics Tools
Carousels, quote cards, promo images — visual content is baked into most content strategies today.
I mostly work in B2B(Business to Business), so visuals for me usually mean LinkedIn carousels or blog graphics.
Tools that can generate these quickly, or at least make the process less painful, are a big help.
Here are a few AI tools that help with graphics, carousels, and other visual assets.
14. Canva

We’ve been a Canva customer for years, and it has been our go-to for quick, polished visuals without wrestling with complex software.
I especially love their Magic Resize feature and use it a lot. In one click, I can resize an image, video, or some other visual, keep a copy of the original or just use it to replace it completely.
The other feature I almost always use whenever I open Canva is their background remover feature. One click and the background element is gone and can be replaced with anything I want.
Key features in Canva
- Drag-and-Drop Editor: Intuitive canvas with layers, grids, and alignment guides.
- Premium Asset Library: thousands of design templates and millions of photos and graphics.
- Magic Resize: One-click format adjustment and theme switching across designs.

Free plan?
Yes, Canva offers a free forever plan with limited capabilities.
15. Gamma

Founded by an ex-Apple employee, Gamma comes with a fresh take on visual storytelling.
Its card-based interface lets you create presentations, one-page sites, and docs that feel dynamic rather than slide-by-slide.
I especially like that the 400 AI credits you get on the free plan let you test both text and image generations without jumping into a paid tier.
Key features in Gamma:
- 400 AI Credits on Free Plan: Generate text, images, and decks with no upfront cost.

Adobe Firefly is the creative-AI engine baked into Adobe’s ecosystem.
You can use Firefly when you need a commercially safe image or vector generation, plus the Text to Video feature is surprisingly fun for quick social clips.

AI Video Content Creation Tools
I’ve used Loom and Descript the most, mostly for walkthroughs, demo content, and editing interview recordings.
Descript, especially, has been super useful for trimming content and turning longform into shortform. I’ve also played around with Teller for marketing and product videos. So this list comes from both personal experience and what I see other creators using.
These tools are all about using AI to make the video creation process smoother — from editing to generating.
17. Descript

I’m all about the Edit by Text feature in Descript.
When I upload a product walkthrough or interview video, I get an instant transcript — and then I literally delete filler words, rearrange sentences, and the video follows along. It beats most editors’ trimming tools any day.
Descript has several other features, but that’s just my favourite of them all.
Key features in Descript:
- Text-Based Editing: Edit video and audio by editing the transcript — cut, rearrange, and the media updates automatically.

For quick screen recordings, Loom is my fallback.

FAQs on AI tools for content creation
Let’s answer a few frequently asked questions on this topic:
Q: Is there a free AI tool to write content?
A: Absolutely, there are plenty of free AI content generators out there. (ChatGPT and Claude are the most popular free AI content tools out there).
But tread carefully, “content” isn’t just words on a page.
You need content that connects with your audience and drives you toward your goal — whether that’s teaching, brand awareness, or driving sign-ups.
So yes, you can grab free AI tools and crank out drafts, but without a solid content strategy and human insight guiding them, those tools alone won’t hit the mark.
You still need to know how to craft a narrative, select the right examples, and steer the reader's action.
Q: Which AI is best for writing content?
A: There’s no one-size-fits-all “best” tool — hundreds exist today, each optimized for different goals.
- If you want to mine your own or your team’s expertise and lived experiences for true thought leadership pieces, a tool like Leaps is perfect.
- If you’re producing long-form, SEO-driven blog posts at scale, Jasper or Copy.ai can speed you up.
In short: pick the AI that aligns with what you need to accomplish, not the flashiest name you see.
Q: Should you use AI to write content?
A: My take (and Leaps’ philosophy) is: don’t let AI replace human insight, let it amplify it.
If you hand off your entire strategy and voice to a robot, you end up with bland, forgettable copy.
But if you start with real ideas — your own experiences, your team’s expertise, your founders’ points of view — then use AI to streamline, edit, or clarify those ideas, you get high-quality content that still feels human.
So, no, don’t write for AI. Use AI to write with you and amplify your insights.
Q: Can AI create original content?
A: In the strictest sense, AI doesn’t “invent” brand-new ideas; it rearranges and extends the patterns it learned during training.
But your unique experiences and specific insights are original, and AI can be a powerful amplifier for those.
With Leaps, for example, every draft starts from an expert interview, so the resulting copy remains grounded in genuine human insight.
In that framework, AI isn’t the originator; it’s the co-author that helps you transform your one-of-a-kind ideas into polished content.
Pick the AI tool that suits your needs, but always put humans in the loop
AI tools have transformed every stage of content creation, from uncovering fresh insights to drafting posts, structuring outlines, designing visuals, and editing videos.
But as you’ve seen from this article, the key to standout content isn’t just the latest algorithm or slick interface; it’s how you weave real human expertise into each step.
Whether you’re leveraging your own lived experiences or interviewing subject matter experts through Leaps, or using Perplexity to deep-dive on niche topics, and so on, these tools work best when guided by your strategy and voice.
